Press release: Gunilla Carlsson and Cecilia Seddigh elected to Tundra’s Board

Two new Directors have been elected to the Board of Tundra Fonder. Gunilla Carlsson, former Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation, and Cecilia Seddigh, with more than two decades of experience in the international mutual fund and insurance industry, have joined the Board of Directors of the frontier market specialist.

Tundra Fonder’s annual general meeting of May 16 elected Gunilla Carlsson and Cecilia Seddigh to the fund manager’s Board. Gunilla Carlsson served as the Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation 2006-2013 and was a Member of the European Parliament 1995-2002. She has also held a number of political positions, including Deputy Chairman of the Swedish Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee.

“Frontier markets are in the midst of an exciting development phase, and Tundra’s commitment to sustainable investment in these economies is important,” comments Gunilla Carlsson.

Cecilia Seddigh also joins the Board, bringing more than two decades of experience from a number of international mutual fund and insurance companies, including Skandia during the international expansion of Skandia AFS and Skandia Global Funds. Cecilia Seddigh has for a number of years been a Director of Swesif, The Swedish Forum for Sustainable Investment, Chairman of UpHigh AB, which conducts sustainability consulting services, and is a founder of Sparplatsen Sverige AB, a fintech company engaged in robotic advisory services based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Tundra’s new Board of Directors comprises Göran Lindholm, Per Axman, Anders Böös, Gunilla Carlsson, Johan Elmquist, Mattias Martinsson, Erik Saers and Cecilia Seddigh.
